Leading people to experience a new life in Christ

Burkina Faso

Have you met the Jaworskis at Northwest Community Church?  They are an awesome couple and God is doing awesome things in their lives.  Read this letter from Gary and Becky:

Dear Friends and Family,

We will be leaving for Burkina Faso in mid-December 2016 and will be there for 3 months. Our days will be busy. This is a rough draft of how we will spend our time there. God’s plans may be different!

Our first stop will be in Yako where there is an orphanage, clinic, women’s crisis center, and school. Gary will be helping with repairs. Becky will be helping in the orphanage and going to surrounding villages with the 2 nurses there to teach classes on basic first aid and hygiene and to help with medical needs.

In February, Gary will join the drilling team (Friends in Action) as they are drilling three wells. One of these wells will be drilled in the village of Koaltanga and it is being funded by family, friends and brothers/sisters of NWCC!!!! We are over half way with the funds we need for this well and know that God will provide the rest!!! Many lives will be saved not only with clean water, but because the Word of God is shared at the time that the well is drilled. Usually several days is spent in each village.

Next on our Agenda is attending the Missionary Field Conference in Ouagadougou with other members from Sheltering Wings. We look forward to this learning and fellowship with others that are on the front lines there.

After that, we will head to the town of Banfora, where a fostering program has been started by Sheltering Wings. Families from Burkina are sponsored so that children can be raised in a family unit. This program is showing God’s love to the entire family and giving children a chance to grow up in a home.

Then, it’s on to Kimini, a remote village that the chief of the village called “The forgotten people!!” But, we know God does not forget anyone!! A well was drilled, a birthing center/clinic built and a home built for a pastor. It is a village without electricity and roads in are rough. About 4000 people live in this area where there are many orphaned children and many widows who have been deserted by families. Much work is being done in this village.

Although there are many physical needs, our main goal is to share the Love of God. It is estimated that 63,000 people die each day without hearing about their Savior!! In this area only 10% are Christian. Please pray for us as we share His love with the people of Burkina Faso that He will open hearts to hear His Word.

God has shown us His Grace– may we share it with others!!
