Leading people to experience a new life in Christ

Teams

In the body of Christ we have the opportunity to give some of our most valuable resources such as our time and talents. At Northwest there are many chances to volunteer throughout the week and on Sunday mornings. Teams are an essential part of life at Northwest. By choosing to join a team you are becoming a vital part of leading people to experience a new life in Christ. The volunteers at Northwest make what we do possible each week. There are a variety of ways you can get plugged into the mission here. To take the next step towards becoming a team member contact Greg Luka at greg@lifeatnorthwest.org or one of our team leaders listed below.  You won’t regret it!

Our Teams

A Team

The assimilation team is the front door for people that come to Northwest. They greet people with open arms and welcoming smiles. The A-Team also sets up our welcome area and brews fresh coffee for everyone to enjoy. They arrive Sundays at 8:15 a.m. to brew coffee and setup the welcome area.

Audio & Visual Arts Team

The A/V team creates and runs the slides that you see on Sunday morning. They also run the soundboard during Sunday morning band practice and worship. If you are a tech guru or just like to push and turn buttons, then the A/V team is for you. If you have never run sound or slides before, that is okay. Jared will make sure that you have a great understanding of these areas and feel comfortable before you serve.

Kids Team

The Children’s team nurtures and teaches the children that come to Northwest. There are 5 areas.

  1. Nursery (Birth to 1 year)
  2. Toddlers (1-3 years)
  3. Pre-K (3-5 years)
  4. Elementary (Kindergarten-4th grade)
  5. Middle School (5th / 6th grade)
  6. Check-In & Hall Monitor

In the toddler, pre-k, elementary, and middle school rooms the kids are taught a Bible lesson. Before volunteers begin they shadow a current leader to get to know the children, and are always trained. Hall monitors step into classrooms to offer extra help when needed. Volunteers serve on a once a month basis.

Worship Set up Team

This team serves by setting up equipment for worship. If you can plug in a cable, you can serve on this team. Set up team arrives Sunday morning at 8:15 a.m. so that the worship band can begin practice by 9:00. This team is looking for people to serve once or twice a month.

Worship Team

The worship team leads us weekly by using the musical gifts and talents that God has blessed them with. They begin worship practice at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday. If you have music or vocal ability come join the team.
